The client wanted to redesign an office building as a wellness-office retreat. The site provided direct access to nature trails and was equally convenient to downtown Austin, but the story was all about the nature and the location. The client asked the team for a go-to-market brochure that would inspire tenants to pre-lease, ultimately ensuring ROI for the development.
I worked with the design team to understand the building, the site and the overall end product so I could develop graphics and a layout that supported the client vision and story. The shape of the building was curved, reflecting the natural lines found from the walking trails and the area is known for it's famous Austin cedar trees. I set the colors to feel rich in greens and tans with a touch of deep slate, in response to the warmth of the site and the surrounding natural elements. I enhanced the curve idea through rounded edges and curved graphic elements throughout.
I used midjourney to curate the imagery throughout that focused in on nature, wellness, walking trails amongst the local cedar trees, while curating an office environment worthy of employees and tenants calling this place home in the Austin hill-country,.
I came up with the "Curve Appeal" as a play on words from the well-known phrase "curb appeal" and the connection to the curved building. The client loved the idea and is actively using the document to get tenants in the building.
