Career Highlights

Over the course of my dynamic career beginning in 2011, I have a proven track record of building brands, leading integrated communications, and driving growth through creative strategy and compelling storytelling. Below is a brief recap of the last 15 years of my career. I have a formal resume and cover letter I can provide at your request.

Education

2006

Bachelor of Arts : Communications
University of Oklahoma

As a generational Sooner, I loved everything about being at OU.

I learned how to study in a way that worked for me and excelled in many ways. I proudly graduated Sigma Cum Laude.

2011

Bachelor of Arts : Interior Design
Art Institute

This was a step in the direction I wanted to go, not where everyone told me to go.

I found my creative voice and it led to a fulfilling career in interior design that ultimately launched me into graphics.

2015 - 2020

Equify / Wilks Brothers
Creative Strategist, Trade Show / Event Manager & In-House Interior Designer

My role began with Equify working on their heavy equipment auctions advertising, social media and marketing efforts. Through internal changes, we grew to support the other divisions including Finance and Insurance. I was in charge of the editorial calendar, social media graphics and planning, as well as producing all graphics. Over time I began to wear more hats including interior design for the corporate offices, and umbrella divisions which blossomed into trade show booth design and event management.

Eventually, we expanded to cover more than Equify and took on the Wilks Brothers various businesses, and expanded our team from 2 to 6. We took our efforts further enhancing brand strategy, logo design, radio, tv and film.

2014 - 2015

Staffelbach

Project Manager & Interior Designer

I was hired as an Interior Designer + Project Manager for Staffelbach, but to be fair, I hated the job...so much so that the first day I knew it was the wrong choice. I stuck it out for as long as I could...and then a client offered me a job created just for me because they wanted me that badly. (Equify - above)

However, I successfully managed multiple corporate projects ranging from 8,000 sf to 55,000 sf full floor build outs. I learned a lot about the inside elements of the job, from start to finish. I also learned how to manage complex teams, clients and general contractors.

2011 - 2014

Studio4D

Interior Designer

My first big girl job in the Interior Design industry. We were small, but mighty, requiring us to wear a lot of hats. I was in charge of all installations and furniture orders, coordinating closely with our warehouse to ensure shipments came in on time, correctly per the order and were ready for installation. This included managing the project budget and all lead times ensuring a successful install. When installs came around I traveled to the site and oversaw all installation of furniture, artwork, accessories and fixtures.

I assisted the senior design team with CAD floor plans, full construction document sets, sections, details and elevations. This included furniture selection, finish selections, artwork plans, reflected ceiling plans, material presentation boards, marketing materials, client presentations and design decisions.
